Winter sowing turns clear plastic containers into mini-greenhouses to give hardy annuals and perennials a jump start. Seven clear plastic storage boxes are planted with over 700 seeds from 27 types of flowers. They are lined up near the house, getting ready for spring weather.
As of early April, sprouts are coming up of several varieties of flowers. On a nice day, I opened the containers to give them access to the lovely, fresh air.
